The recipe is simple: take what already works well and change it a little. The 993 seems to enjoy the unanimous approval of the specialist press since, apart from a few technological advances, this model is a revised 964. The cabin is the same, the 964’s teething mechanical faults have been corrected and the lines are those of a 964 that has melted a little in the sun.... The 993 represents the end of a generation, a mature model to which Porsche could no longer have made any further changes because it was so close to perfection, but the emissions regulations decreed that this model, however mature, would also become obsolete. Porsche has to resign itself to the fact that it must start from scratch to redesign the 911...

* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
