As is traditional at Porsche, the full version does not keep us waiting. This version, like all 996s from the 1999 model onwards, will erase the bad memories of a somewhat difficult start, as often happens with the introduction of a new model. The 97 and 98 models suffered, as the 964 once did, recall campaigns that tarnished the model’s image for several years. It is true that Porsche has to deal with its new engine, with overheating problems and faulty cylinder head gaskets. Instead of repairing the engine, Porsche replaces it and quickly finds the weak point.
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
