Porsche is fittingly celebrating the 25th anniversary of its little roadster in early 2021 with the launch of the Boxster 25 Years. A limited edition of 1,250 units, based on the 718 Boxster GTS 4.0, it offers an exclusive look reminiscent of the first prototype, unveiled in 1993 at the Detroit Motor Show.
The definitive version of the Porsche Boxster was revealed in August 1996, almost 25 years ago. It is an opportunity for the German marque to celebrate the anniversary of one of the models that allowed it to get its head back above water, at a time when the accounts were not in the black. Liquid cooling appeared at the same time for the first time on the engines of the Porsche 911 Type 996, with which the Boxster shares, among other things, its front end. Since then, the little roadster has sold more than 357,000 units worldwide, a genuine success for this small two-seater racer with a mid-rear engine.

* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
