The fact that Porsche fits some of its models with diesel engines now seems quite natural. A large proportion of Porsche enthusiasts still do not understand it, but one thing is certain: Porsche is not going to turn back. With the Cayenne, Porsche had reached a new dimension, and with the introduction of the diesel engine sales figures rose notably once again. However, the 245 hp V6 seemed to fall a little short of living up to the brand’s reputation. Porsche is now putting this right with a Diesel S version fitted with a 4.2 V8. This engine appears to be the V8 already used in the Audi Q7 and A8, but optimised up to 382 hp (instead of 340 and 350 hp).
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
