Porsche has just unveiled a new version of its flagship SUV. With its 640 hp twin-turbo V8, which allows a top speed of 300 km/h, the Cayenne Turbo GT becomes the fastest Porsche SUV ever built by the Stuttgart marque. A simple remap would not have been enough to achieve this result. Porsche’s engineers have practically developed a new engine block (new crankshaft, turbochargers, cooling system...). Note also that the exhaust system is now made of titanium, which results in less heat dissipation and a significant weight saving. The body height of the Turbo GT has also been lowered by 17 mm (compared with the Turbo), the air suspension has been stiffened by 15 % and every chassis element has been specifically tuned for optimum performance: PASM, PDCC, steering, rear-axle steering. Finally, at the heart of the 22-inch wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes are fitted as standard to reduce unsprung mass. The result: a significant weight saving and, therefore, higher performance.

* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
