The new Cayman has been built from the ground up. Compared with its predecessor, it offers a wheelbase 60 mm longer, a wider track and a weight 30 kg lower. The 7-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox is available as an option. As with the new Boxster, fuel consumption has fallen by approximately 15 % compared with previous generations. Its predecessor (Type 987) was a fantastic sports coupé, but it struggled to find customers in our part of the world: from 2006 to 2012 only 737 units were sold in Switzerland, which is less than one seventh of 911 sales (5,348 units).
You will find more information about the Cayman S (videos, etc.) on the official website, clicking here .
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
