It is no small thing that Porsche has a sense of order and hierarchy. For example, the brand will be careful not to exploit the full potential of the Cayman, wonderfully balanced by the central position of its engine, so as not to get in the way of the sacred 911. So when it comes to launching a sharpened version of the Cayman, it must be radical enough that the buyer cannot hesitate between it and a more bourgeois 911 of equal power. Hence the radical definition of the Cayman GT4, which produces 385 hp against the S’s 325 hp.
It is, so to speak, the equivalent of the 911 GT3 in the category below. The Cayman GT4, capable of lapping the Nürburgring in 7:40 minutes (like the 997.2 GT3), carries the 3.8-litre 6-cylinder flat engine from the 911 Carrera S, but, naturally, with 15 hp less. Hierarchy, once again. But the Cayman GT4 also stands out, and above all, for its chassis. The brakes of the 911 GT3 have been adopted almost entirely, combined with a sharper chassis (suspension lowered by 30 mm) and bodywork with aerodynamic downforce to optimise efficiency on the track for which it was designed. Options include PCCB carbon-ceramic brake discs, bucket-type seats in carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP), a specific Sport Chrono package with the Track Precision app and a Clubsport package. However, nothing is yet known about the weight of the GT4 (it is expected to be below 1,300 kg). Moreover, neither the P

* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
