The 356 is built entirely by hand. Porsche’s workshops in Gmünd, Austria, soon become too small, as the first 500 orders arrive at the Geneva Motor Show. 46 cars are produced there, commonly known as “356 Gmünd” (23 coupés and 23 cabriolets). As the Stuttgart factory is still occupied by the American army, Porsche initially has to subcontract production to the coachbuilder Reutter. The cabriolet was commissioned from Heuer.

* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
