This new “Sport” version of the 914 replaced the six-cylinder 914 in 1973 and quickly made people forget the failure of its predecessor. The genuine Porsche genes of the 914 are often underestimated without reason. The 914 has a great trump card in hand: exceptional road behaviour. The 914 is low and balanced, with its wheels at the four corners, and has remarkable effectiveness on winding roads. The 914 offers a great deal of driving pleasure and could easily take more horsepower under the bonnet. But be careful, because, as with all mid-engined cars, it becomes rather abrupt when the rear axle breaks away...
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
