In 1980, the launch of the 924 Carrera GT (210 hp), a homologation model based on the 924 Turbo, confirmed Porsche’s determination to make its small car more performance-oriented. The most visible features are, naturally, the polyurethane wheel arch extensions, which house a wider track. The bonnet features a prominent air intake, more centrally placed than the NACA air intake of the Turbo versions. The 924 Carrera GT is fitted as standard with black-painted 15-inch Fuchs wheels. A black plastic spoiler is fitted on the lower part of the tailgate to increase aerodynamic efficiency. The colour palette was limited to the following options: Black, Guards Red or Silver.

* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
