The Porsche 944 Rothmans is the work of the importer Sonauto, which created a series limited to 100 units, sold from 1 May 1984. The car was delivered exclusively in Alpinweiß (alpine white), with the whole body decorated in the colours of the cigarette manufacturer (blue, gold and red), and had an imposing body kit to stand out from the crowd. The 944 Rothmans has two side skirts with the brand name and a rear diffuser reminiscent of that of the 356 Carrera 2, and is fitted with 15-inch telephone-dial-style wheels with wider tyres, anti-roll bars and sports dampers. Some optional equipment is also standard on the Rothmans: fog lights, an alarm and a rear window wiper.
