As the first SUV in Porsche’s history, the Cayenne has helped boost the German brand’s sales figures since 2003. Four years ago it was overtaken by its little brother, the Macan, but it remains very much present on the market. The Zuffenhausen firm has therefore decided to extend the potential of this model with a new coupé body, aimed at another German model, the BMW X6. Porsche had been thinking for years about developing this variant, but it was too late to introduce it on the second generation. That is why it was developed on the basis of the third model, which reached the market at the end of 2017. To make up for a decade less experience than the X6, the Cayenne Coupé relies above all on a more refined silhouette. The very gradual drop of the roofline ends in a well-proportioned rear that serves to accentuate the dynamism. In addition to this successful design, the novelty at the back is the addition of a small movable rear spoiler, which rises 135 mm from a speed of 90 km/h. Together with the fixed roof spoiler, this element, new on an SUV, is carefully hidden in the bodywork when it is not needed. When deployed, it makes itself felt in fast corners, where the rear axle seems bolted to the road. Otherwise, our vehicle has inherited the Cayenne’s sound abilities, both in terms of chassis agility in “tight” situations and overall ferocity in Sport Plus mode. The brakes are fitted with 10-piston calipers.
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
