Like all crocodiles, the caiman is a reptile that seems to come straight from prehistoric times. Except at Porsche, where the Cayman is a decidedly modern coupé, which today unveils its second generation. As with the previous version, it is a close relative of the Boxster, which was updated earlier this year. Despite the identical displacement, the Cayman outdoes the Boxster by 10 hp, as was already the case before. The 2.7 flat-six of the entry-level model therefore now produces 275 hp, while the 3.4 of the S version rises to 325 hp. That is just what is needed to give a slight advantage over the 350 hp 911 Carrera. In addition, the Cayman has to make do with a six-speed manual gearbox rather than seven.
You will find more information about the Cayman (videos, etc.) on the official website, clicking here .

* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
