Two years after its birth, the Boxster-Cayman duo receives a new GTS variant, representing more intense sportiness. At Porsche, the GTS label designates spicy models positioned between the standard versions and the models bearing the RS badge. The two rear-engined models in the range, the Boxster Roadster and the Cayman Coupé, now carry the GTS label. Unlike the RS models, this is not a slimming cure but a vitamin boost and a few cosmetic changes. Experts recognise the two new GTS models by their specific bumpers, black bi-xenon headlights with PDLS (Dynamic Lighting System) and black 20-inch wheels with 235/35 tyres at the front and 265/35 at the rear. These changes are accompanied by an increase in power. The 3.4-litre six-cylinder flat engine now has 15 hp more. The two GTS models are the first two-seater mid-engined cars to meet the new Euro 6 emissions standard. The Boxster’s power rises to 330 hp and the Cayman’s to 340 hp. Torque increases by 10 Nm.
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
