The 914 evolved in 1974 and the 1.8 replaced the 1.7 in the catalogue. This two-seater roadster takes up the mid-rear engine of the 550 Spyder and adds the Targa roof principle introduced by the 911. The 914 is very low, compact and almost flowing, and appears more modern than the 911, especially with its pop-up headlights and its two boots, the rear of which houses the roof, suddenly turning the coupé into a cabriolet. The 914 was not intended to replace the 911, quite the opposite, but to open the brand up to a new and more mainstream clientele, something confirmed by the sales success, with more than 100,000 units sold.

* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
