In 2009, Porsche preferred to use Audi’s famous V6 TDI for the Cayenne Diesel rather than develop an engine of its own. As the diesel engine was selling well, it was only logical that in 2012 the Porsche Cayenne should benefit from the latest developments Audi had made to its V6 TDI. The new injection system, the new turbo, the new crankshaft and the use of new, lighter materials made it possible to cut the weight by 20 kg while delivering even more power.
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
