Although it has four doors, with a coupé-like silhouette thanks to the steeply raked tailgate and the one-piece front bonnet that tilts forward together with the wings, the Macan is much more dynamic than its rivals, more Porsche, so to speak. This one-piece bonnet in the style of the Triumph Spitfire and the Jaguar E-Type allows a design with smooth lines that surpasses the gaping mouth of the large grille and the two side air intakes. It is hard to get any sportier! And with its 21-inch wheels and without the “too utilitarian” roof bars, the Macan is without doubt a genuine Porsche. Outside France, the Macan is sold mainly with petrol engines, the 3.6-litre twin-turbo V6 with 400 hp being the top-of-the-range model. It accelerates the SUV from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. With the Sport Chrono package it is even possible to achieve this in 4.6 seconds. Although the top speed is 266 km/h, the Macan Turbo declares consumption of 9.2 and 8.9 l/100 km (216 and 208 g/km), which, unfortunately, triggers the highest level of the malus in France. In 2017 no Turbo S is offered, but a Performance package that adds 40 hp for 8,000 more.
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
