The basic 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo engine of the 718, with 300 hp, is left untouched. The same goes for the top speed of 275 km/h. However, if you add sports suspension lowered by 20 mm, combined with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), you get Porsche’s new 718 Touring designation. Or rather, the new designations, because both the Boxster and the Cayman now carry this name. The 718 Touring versions also differ from the rest of their respective ranges in other respects: on the outside, the 718 Touring models stand out through a few cosmetic details, such as the 20-inch wheels in titanium grey (compared with the 18-inch wheels of the 718 models and the 19-inch wheels of the S models), a sports exhaust and a T monogram. The cabin is fitted with a GT sports steering wheel and a shorter gear lever, while the doors are opened from the inside by means of straps. The multimedia system with touchscreen in the cabin becomes a no-cost option in the catalogue for weight reasons. The Sport Chrono package is part of the equipment, as is the PADM dynamic engine mount system, with which the stiffness and damping properties of the mounts can be adapted in real time to the conditions of the moment.
You will find more information about the 718 Boxster T (videos, etc.) on the official website, clicking here .
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
