The Speedster, completed at the end of 1954, is a new derivative of the 356 Cabriolet and is offered only with the 1500 engine, in standard form (55 hp) or “super fuel” form (1500 S with 70 hp). Its low profile radiates great sportiness, but also more elegance than the Cabriolet, above all because of the absence of the soft top, which breaks the line of the 356 once folded. The Speedster is also sportier and more powerful, mainly because of its lower weight. The Speedster is therefore the preferred version of competition drivers, who win with it in various categories. 1234 examples were built, cementing Porsche’s reputation overseas.
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
