The hardest part is done. Whereas the Cayenne project was a challenge and a big risk ten years ago, the Macan is today little more than a formality. In the meantime, Porsche has imposed its know-how in the field of four-door cars, a territory that until then was totally unknown to it. The result: today, sales of Porsche’s “family cars”, the Cayenne and the Panamera, account for almost 70% of the total volume. A real success, because the Cayenne did indeed represent a genuine break that made it possible to consolidate the brand’s image in the SUV field, a segment that has since grown explosively. Porsche’s hunch to open up to this segment, new to it, is rewarded with the Macan, which will be unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show, opening to the public on 22 November. As the little brother of the Cayenne, with its name, which means “tiger” in Indonesian, it is already shaking up established values.

* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
