Although officially called the Carrera GTS, this model opened a new chapter in Porsche’s sporting history under the internal designation 904. Designed by Ferdinand Porsche, the 904 offered, from a technical point of view, much more than competition standards required: a mixed steel and plastic construction and a low weight. It was the first Porsche with a plastic body and 100 units had to be built to qualify in the GT category. These were followed by another 20 vehicles, of which 16 were assembled. The rest supplied the parts for the spare parts warehouse. The 904 was fitted with four, six and eight cylinders. It was not only a highly successful racing car in the early 1960s, but it remains today one of the most attractive models designed by the marque.

* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
