The enormous success of the Porsche 991 Targa was so great that, apparently, the designers had no choice but to renew it in the 992 Targa. To our delight, it once again has the silly fully automatic roof opening system. Incidentally, the manoeuvre takes only 19 seconds. This 2020 Targa picks up the styling cues of the 992. To be clear, it retains the pronounced wheel arches at the front and, between the LED headlights, a bonnet marked by a notch inspired by the look of the first generations of the 911. Running the eye over the tail, we find the rear end, which stands out with its enlarged-surface adaptive rear wing, as well as the light strip that joins the two light clusters. With the exception of the front and rear bumpers, the body is entirely made of aluminium.
The cockpit picks up that of the standard 911 Carrera models and is organised around the instrument cluster. Beneath the 10.9-inch central screen of the Porsche Communication Management (PCM), a control panel with 5 buttons gives direct access to the car’s main functions. The PCM incorporates as standard the online navigation module, based on a swarm intelligence system, and the Connect Plus module.
You will find more information about the 911 Targa 4S (videos, etc.) on the official website, clicking here .
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
