Porsche knows how to make the most of its heritage, very often with large doses of purely aesthetic arguments in the service of marketing. But the Porsche 911 Dakar is of a completely different calibre and pays tribute to the victory of a Porsche 911 “953” in the 1984 Paris-Dakar rally raid. For once, the arsenal of technical modifications is standard and the retro styling is optional. With 480 hp, a suspension raised by 80 mm and a price tag of 250,000 €, exclusivity is guaranteed for the 2500 happy future owners.
In addition to the greater ground clearance, the Porsche 911 Dakar differs from a normal 911 by its bright red tow eyes at the front and rear, its larger wheel arches and side skirts, a special fixed rear wing made of CFRP, like the front bonnet, which adopts the ventilation openings of the 911 GT3. The bodywork is protected by stainless-steel protective elements on the front, rear and side sills, while the side air intakes of the front bumper have a special design and integrate stainless-steel grilles.
You will find more information about the 911 Dakar (videos, etc.) on the official website, clicking here .
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
