Turbo: a name that now sounds different, because these variants are no longer the only turbocharged 911s. But they are still the most muscular models in the range. The Turbo now reaches 320 km/h (+ 5 km/h) and the S 330 km/h (+ 12 km/h). In the 0 to 100 acceleration, the Turbo claims 3.0 seconds and the S 2.9 seconds. At the same time, according to Porsche, fuel consumption falls slightly thanks to changes in the electronic management of the engine and gearbox. The PSM system, which automatically regulates the stability of the vehicle, has received a new Sport mode that raises the PSM’s intervention threshold. In the manufacturer’s words, “it flirts even more with the limits of the system”. Another novelty, already seen on the other “new” 911s, is the driving mode selector on the steering wheel, which houses a “Sport Response” button. When pressed, it optimises the response of the engine and gearbox and extracts the maximum from them for 20 seconds. The Turbo models receive cosmetic changes that, logically, pick up the new look of the family. The redesigned bumpers also catch the eye. The front one integrates the air intakes and the LED strips more elegantly. On board there is a new multimedia system with a larger screen. The equipment is extended with a lane change assistant and a system for raising the front axle, which makes it easier to clear obstacles, such as a speed bump, at low speeds.
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
