The enormous success of the Porsche 991 Targa was so great that the designers apparently had no choice but to renew it in the 992 Targa. To our delight, the ridiculous fully automatic roof opening system therefore returns. Its operation takes only 19 seconds. The 2020 Targa adopts the styling traits of the 992. To put it plainly: it retains the pronounced wheel arches at the front and the bonnet between the LED headlights with a recess inspired by the look of the first generations of the 911. If we cast an eye over the tail, we see the rear end, which stands out with a larger-surface adaptive rear wing and a light strip joining the two light clusters. With the exception of the front and rear bumpers, the entire body is made of aluminium. The cockpit corresponds to that of the standard 911 Carrera and is organised around the instrument cluster. Beneath the 10.9-inch central screen of the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) there is a control panel with 5 keys that gives direct access to the most important functions of the vehicle. The PCM includes as standard the online navigation module, based on a collective intelligence system, and the Connect Plus module.

* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
