Surprised by the immediate success of the 911 Turbo 3.0L, Porsche quickly accelerates the development of the model. In August 1977, Porsche increased the displacement to 3.3 litres, which raised the power to 300 hp. A symbolic figure that allows performance never before seen in a series-production Porsche. Compared with the very first Porsche 911 turbo 3.0, the 911 turbo 3.3 has barely changed externally. Only the newly designed rear spoiler stands out. In Porsche enthusiasts’ jargon, the “whale tail” gives way to the “tea tray”, behind which the new engine is hidden. This Turbo version will survive two generations of the 911 (SC and Carrera) without anything changing (apart from the 5-speed gearbox, introduced in 1989).
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
