Although the 993 is a favourite of some people today, 911 followers did not welcome the 993 with any particular warmth. What was the reason? Very simple: the front wings, characteristic of the original design of the 1960s, had sunk. The new 911 had indeed become softer. This work was carried out down to the last detail, with new door handles and Cup-type mirrors fitted as standard. But much more than the new 17-inch wheels, which are supplied as standard in France, the main source of consolation for the 911s, in many people’s opinion, is also a sexier look than the 964 thanks to the bulging rear wings, which recall the famous Turbo look, so highly appreciated in previous generations. As you can see, the “purists” are never really satisfied as soon as a hair of its beauty is touched, but over time one quickly becomes even more addicted.
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
