THE small revolution that will delight purists. On request, customers can opt for a 6-speed manual gearbox instead of the standard 7-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox. With the RS’s 4-litre flat-6 block under the rear bonnet, the new 911 GT3 produces 500 hp compared with the 475 hp of the previous model. Needless to say, performance is proportionally high. The top speed is 318 km/h (PDK) and the 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 3.4 seconds. With the manual gearbox, the driver achieves the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 3.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 320 km/h. A small bonus. The chassis, lowered by 25 mm, offers two new settings and rear-wheel steering. The dynamic behaviour is reminiscent of the previous GT3 RS. In terms of looks there are no surprises. It is an opportunity to spot a few changes: a newly designed front bumper, additional openings in the rear bonnet, a slightly modified bumper cut-out and headlights reminiscent of those of the Carrera or Turbo models. Incidentally, the Touring version is delivered, as an option, without a spoiler!
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
