Is the seventh generation of the 911 (Type 991) part of your good resolutions for 2014, but the Coupé seems too stuffy to you and the Cabriolet too exclusive? Unlike the 993, 996 and 997 generations, which were fitted with a roof that slid backwards, the 2014 Targa returns to the original 1965 concept, with a fixed one-piece glass window, a central roll bar finished in aluminium and a fabric roof as the cover. At the time, this soft cover had to be removed by hand; today the operation is carried out electrically with a very special kinematic arrangement. The central part of the bar and the rear window rise in one piece, like a hood lid, and the roof is stowed behind the rear seats. Please note: this can only be done with the car stationary. A pity.
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
