S stands for Sport. With this simple letter, the Porsche 911 left behind its status as a Gran Turismo coupé and entered the realm of performance. In October 1966, the first 911 S was presented at the Paris Motor Show. Apart from the monogram on the bonnet grille, it is hard to recognise a Porsche 911 S at first glance. The new Fuchs light-alloy wheels are available as an option. Inside, the 911 2.0 S is also distinguished by its leather steering wheel (instead of wood) and its imitation-leather dashboard, adorned on the passenger side with a special “911 S” badge.
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
