The Porsche 911 (plain and simple), often confused with the 911 Carrera, was launched on the market at the same time, in August 1973, to replace the 911 T as the entry-level model. Externally, the new 911 marked a break with the first generation. For instance, the impact-absorbing bumpers, easily recognisable by the black bellows on the sides, the black “911” logo on the rear lid, below the black engine grille, and the “Porsche” strip between the rear lights make it easy to identify. Only the surround of the headlights and the chrome door handles recall the first generation of the 911. Inside, on the other hand, it differs only in its seats with integrated headrests.
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
