The Porsche 911 of the 991 generation has been redesigned and that is a revolution. At first glance it is far from obvious, because you have to look at the four-point daytime running lights, which are Porsche’s hallmark, the larger air intakes, the bonnet with the vertical-slat grille and the rear lights, which gain profile. And here you can tell the Carrera S from the Carrera by the two exhaust tailpipes very close to each other. As you have surely already noticed, here everything is not turned upside down, but rather here under the bonnet, because both the Carrera and the Carrera S move to forced induction. The 3.4-litre engine with 350 hp and the 3.8-litre with 400 hp, without the help of forced induction, are replaced by a new 3.0-litre twin-turbo that delivers 370 and 420 hp respectively. Logically, the most notable thing is the increase in torque, which goes from 390 and 440 Nm to 450 and 500 Nm, reached almost 4,000 rpm earlier! Porsche states that acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h has dropped by 2 tenths, to 3.9 and 4.2 seconds respectively, and that fuel consumption is 12 % lower. A redesigned 911 Carrera with 370 hp and PDK gearbox is now officially declared at 7.4 l in the combined cycle, which corresponds to only 169 g.
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
