The GT3 RS, delayed by the spontaneous combustion problems of the GT3, is finally poking its nose out. The Zuffenhausen marque did not want to run the risk of adopting the 3.8 flat-6 from the “little” GT3. It is a completely new engine that finds its place under the bonnet of the GT3 RS. The 4-litre naturally aspirated flat-6 produces 500 hp and 460 Nm, that is 25 hp and 20 Nm more than the GT3 engine. The 7-speed dual-clutch PDK gearbox remains mandatory. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h has dropped by 2 tenths of a second, to 3.3 seconds. The GT3 RS completed a lap of the Nürburgring in 7 minutes 20 seconds, thus beating the Carrera GT’s time by 9 seconds. Compared with the GT3, the weight has dropped by 10 kg, to 1420 kg. The rear seats have been removed in favour of a roll bar. Even so, comfort has not been forgotten, as the standard equipment includes a few comforts such as automatic air conditioning and an infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen.
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
