The main novelty is the Targa’s new kinematics: the roof section, which previously consisted of a retractable glass surface, is replaced by a fabric hood. Instead of sliding as in the previous system, the hood is now stowed electrically behind the rear seats and beneath the now retractable rear window, as in a CC cabriolet. The operation takes 19 seconds. Mechanically, the new 911 Targa follows its predecessor, the 997, and is only available with all-wheel drive, as the Targa 4 or 4S. The additional weight of 40 kg due to the roof and the Targa structure, compared with the Cabriolet 4 and 4S, is not offset by an increase in power.
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
