The 911 has therefore evolved, but above all in technical terms: electronics enter the vehicle and new safety features are introduced, such as airbags, from the 1992 model year. The cosmetic refresh of the 3.2 above all meant an increase in weight. All of this, together with an unchanged chassis, led to a loss of efficiency. The rear-overhanging engine and the suspension are clearly from another era. On poor roads, the front axle is tossed from side to side by the wide tyres and the suspension. Be that as it may, a cabrio is and remains a car to enjoy driving, so can it really be reproached for it? For the ’92 and ’93 model years, the C2 Cabriolet can be fitted with the Turbolook option (photo), with the chassis and wings of the Turbo versions. 1227 examples were sold worldwide (as a used car, this model costs 15,000 more).
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
