Porsche’s customer base seems to have changed over time, and the Turbo has now definitively risen to the rank of luxury GTs to respond to that change. Inside, the 911 Turbo offers an abundance of luxury and high-tech equipment that is as outrageous as it is expensive. The engine of the 911 Turbo has gone from “beastly” in the first “930s” to “monumental” in the 996 but, however powerful and forceful it may be, it has also become much more civilised than in the past. The power delivery is very progressive and the four-wheel drive guarantees, thanks to the various on-board electronic systems, optimum traction at all times and on any road surface. No doubt most buyers of the 996 Turbo will only use a small percentage of its potential, but who cares?
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
