This Phase 2 911 is much more than a simple facelift. From the sump to the cylinder head, the entire engine is new. It is, of course, the water-cooled 6-cylinder flat engine, unavoidable since the 996, which in the S has a displacement of 3.8 litres and is still positioned in the rear overhang. This unit, which now works with direct injection, has reduced CO2 emissions by 15.4% compared with the previous model and, at the same time, has increased power by 8.5%. At the same time, consumption drops by 13% to 10.2 l/100 km, which translates into CO2 emissions of just 230 g/km for the Carrera. In relation to its power, the new 911 is an ecological champion that would make a Toyota Prius pale with envy.
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
