The new Porsche 911 Carrera RS is the long-awaited version for track enthusiasts who are looking for and expecting a legitimate successor to the fantastic Carrera “RS 92”. The 993 generation hides more advanced technology and loses a little of that raw, cast-iron feel that characterised the old 911s. The new RS is less radical and demanding, although it is stripped back to the essentials. It is available in standard or Clubsport version. The brakes come from the 911 Turbo, its large rear wing and the rigid, flat front spoiler improve downforce, while the aluminium bonnet reduces weight. The 18-inch wheels of the 964 Turbo 3.6, taken from the Cup, are back on board, with a lower suspension and (optionally in France) with “Carrera RS” side stripes on the side skirts. The specific “Carrera RS” logo completes the visual signature on the rear engine lid. The Club Sport option includes a larger, adjustable wing, a double-plane wing and a roll bar in the cabin. The rear seat disappears in favour of front bucket seats with harnesses and a fire extinguisher. Power steering remains standard on the 993 RS, and the airbag is available as an option.
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
