In 1989, the Carrera 4 Lightweight version made a very brief appearance, as only 20 units were built on the initiative of Jurgen Barth, a prominent figure in the Weissach motorsport department. Only one of them was delivered to France and even the Porsche museum does not have an example. This version is therefore 350 kg lighter than a normal Carrera 4: the windows are made of plastic, the headlights have no trim ring, the mirrors are specific, a switch has been installed on the outside and a second exhaust tailpipe appears on the left. The famous oil filler cap is located, as in 1972, on the right rear wing. In addition, the engine has been improved by 15 hp.
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
