The rebirth of the Speedster sets enthusiasts’ hearts on fire. With its characteristic low windscreen, the 964 Speedster adopts the rear hard hood cover of the 3.2 Speedster, but gives up the Turbo look (except as an option for an additional 9,600 ). The hood remains manual and the minimalist standard equipment is taken from the 964 RS: bucket-type seats with a fibre shell painted in the body colour (which can optionally be replaced by “comfort seats”), strap door pulls, gear lever and handbrake gaiters or even its dashboard. The Speedster is lighter than the 964 Cabriolet and offers performance similar to that of the Carrera 2 Coupé. The last 964 Speedster was called “Sonderwunsch”, for “Souhait Particulier” (special wish); it was lightened in the Porsche Exclusive workshops, received Turbo brakes, RS suspension and brakes, developed 260 hp thanks to a modification of the ignition and was delivered to a Londoner for an unknown, but probably indecent, sum.
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
