The 964 RS or “RS 92” presents itself as Porsche’s new lethal weapon. Everything unnecessary is removed, while the engine and chassis are optimised for decidedly sporty use... The RS is available in three versions: “light”, “touring” and “Clubsport” (not imported to France). The modifications include thinner glass than on the C2, with the exception of the windscreen, and the aluminium front bonnet, which no longer has gas struts but a prop to hold it open. In the cabin, the armrests and storage recesses have disappeared, leaving room for an almost bare panel; the door release handles are replaced by a fabric strap, the electric windows are replaced by two good old-fashioned winders, and the same goes for the mirrors. The front seats have been replaced by Recaro bucket seats that weigh only 4.5 kg instead of 25 kg. All comfort equipment has disappeared from the cabin.
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
