This is the road-going version of the Porsche 964 Carrera 3.8 RSR (a competition version used only on the track). This 911 Carrera RS 3.8 was built only in a series limited to 90 units, in order to homologate the model for competition, as only a handful of examples were imported into France at the time... Several technical modifications to the 911 Carrera RS 3.8 were, naturally, specific to this model: the 3.8 RSR engine was detuned to 300 hp (compared with 325 hp), Bilstein springs and dampers, stiffer anti-roll bars, and a strut brace over the front tank to stabilise the suspension. And finally, the wide wheel arches, contrary to appearances, do not hide a Turbo axle, which fits poorly with the very wide wheels permitted in racing under certain regulations. ABS remains fitted as standard.
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
