The GT2 is Porsche’s competition model for customers, named after the group in which it has to be homologated. Visually, the 993 GT2 is quite impressive, with its riveted fibreglass wheel-arch extensions and the monumental biplane rear wing. The front and rear bumpers respond to mechanical requirements, increasing both the additional bearing surfaces and the air intakes for the additional radiators. The cabin has the same atmosphere as the Porsche 993 Carrera RS, as the GT2 has kept its rear seats, all its electrical equipment and even the airbag. As with the RS, however, customers could choose the “Club Sport pack” option, which included a roll cage, Recaro seats with 6-point harnesses, a battery cut-off switch and a fire extinguisher. On the other hand, it was possible to fit a sound system or comfort leather seats, as well as air conditioning.
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
