Obliged to adapt constantly to US regulations, whose market accounts for 50 % of its turnover, Porsche had to keep developing its six-cylinder engine only two years after the launch of the 911 2.2. The displacement was increased again, raising consumption at the expense of efficiency and specific output. However, these restrictive measures allowed the Porsche 911 to remain at the highest level of its class in the early 1970s, despite the arrival of ever more powerful rivals. The 2.4 gains further in flexibility, but only a handful of additional hp.
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
