As with all classic 911s, it is important to check that the car has been kept in its original configuration (engine to specification, no 964-type bodywork conversions...) and, as with all old cars, you need to watch for signs of corrosion. In these generations, the 6-cylinder flat engine is very robust, but it suffers from two defects known to specialists: the studs of the magnesium crankcase tend to corrode and then break, and the timing chain tensioners have to be readjusted regularly. This problem of brittle studs will persist until the 911 SC models...
* The weight is the maximum measured weight (EC standard).
** The power figures refer to vehicles with a manual gearbox (except Cayenne and Panamera).
*** The value is the one published by Flat6 Magazine or LVA (average of good and very good), which in our opinion is the closest to the market price, with a slight tendency to overvalue older models. For this purpose, the vehicle is assumed to have covered an average of 10,000 km per year. We do not give any value for current models.
